The Asian Defence Yearbook

The Asian Defence Yearbook is an annual and companion publication of the Asian Defence Journal. It was first published for 1998 and has been published every year since. It is now a much awaited source of reference for information related to the defence, security and related affairs of the Asia-Pacific region.

The Yearbook is presented in three sections. Section One contains well-researched articles addressing geo-strategic and political developments that took place during the year of publication, focussing on the more critical areas of political-security concern. Section Two deals with on-going developments in various Asia-Pacific militaries, covering policy decisions, developments and significant events as regards force structure, order of battle, force modernisation and the like.

Comprehensive and updated tables enumerating the inventories of Asia-Pacific’s land, naval and air forces can be found in Section Three of the Yearbook. This section serves as a ready reference to the comparative capabilities of the militaries surveyed.

The Asian Defence Yearbook is distributed to ministries of defence and services headquarters around the Asia-Pacific region. It is also made available to corporate executives of defence-related companies worldwide and to heads of delegations to major defence exhibitions
